Elements are permanently deleted when deleted from the model; this cannot be undone. The element which is to be permanently deleted may be an existence prerequisite for other model elements; these will then also be listed for permanent deletion.
You have access rights for permanently deleting model elements.The model element is in Edit Mode.
When a model element is removed from a diagram, a differentiation is made between removing it from a diagram and permanently deleting it from the model. Two separate menu items are always available for these actions.
Model elements can be permanently deleted from the model. If the model element to be deleted is an existence prerequisite for other elements, these elements are also listed for permanent deletion.
The Delete from Model dialog lists the elements which will be affected by the deletion. You can permanently delete elements directly from the model or add them to the result region.
The following menu items are available by default
in the Editing group in the Start tab
in the Editing group in the Design tab
in the selected elements' context menu
Deleting model elements cannot be undone! Elements deleted like this can only be restored by importing them from a previously saved version file.
It is normally only possible to permanently delete elements and not to just remove them from the model using the Model Content tool window.
Model elements are only permanently deleted after a security prompt which lists all the elements affected by the deletion.
The dialog of the same name appears. All elements which are also completely deleted by the action are listed.
All elements listed are added to the result region. The dialog is closed.
All listed elements are permanently deleted from the model. The dialog is closed.
